Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy for Home Inventory Vault
Effective date: May 2, 2026
Home Inventory Vault is designed to keep your home inventory information primarily on your device and under your control.
Information you add to the app
You may choose to add item names, brands, prices, purchase dates, serial numbers, notes, room details, photos, receipt images, and document attachments. This information is stored locally on your device unless you choose to export or share it.
How your data is stored
Inventory records and app settings are stored in a local database on your device. Photos, receipts, and supported attachments are stored locally on your device as files.
Backups and exports
If you use backup export, CSV export, or PDF export features, the app prepares files on your device and may open your device's share sheet so you can choose where to send or save them. Exported files remain under your control and may leave the device only if you choose to share or save them elsewhere.
Purchases
Home Inventory Vault uses RevenueCat and the applicable app store provider, such as Apple or Google, to manage optional in-app purchases and purchase restoration. We do not receive your full payment card information directly through the app.
Notifications
If you enable warranty reminders, the app may request permission to schedule local notifications on your device. These reminders are used only to help you track upcoming warranty dates.
Permissions
The app may request access to the following device capabilities:
- Camera access for taking item photos or receipt images.
- Photo library access for selecting existing images.
- File access for selecting supported document attachments and backup files.
- Notification permission for optional warranty reminders.
Analytics and advertising
Home Inventory Vault does not currently include third-party advertising SDKs or broad behavioral analytics SDKs in the version of the app covered by this policy.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Data may be shared only when needed to process purchases through RevenueCat and store providers, or when you intentionally export or share your own files.
Data deletion
You can delete inventory records from within the app. Deleting the app may also remove locally stored app data from your device, subject to your device platform's behavior. Backup or report files that you saved elsewhere must be deleted separately from those locations.
Children's privacy
Home Inventory Vault is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised effective date when applicable.
